Sumbing Mountain

Cleft mountain is a volcano located on the island of Java, Indonesia. Upright as high as 3,371 meters above sea level, this mountain is located in the three districts of Central Java, namely Magelang District, Waterford, and Wonosobo. Together with Mount Sindoro, Sumbing forming twin mountain landscape, such as Mount Merapi and Mount Merbabu, when seen from the direction of Waterford. The gap between the mountain and the mountain Sindoro passed by the provincial road connecting the city of Waterford and the town of Wonosobo. This road is commonly dubbed as "" Kledung Pass ".

It is not known exactly when the mountain erupted, but there is a peak in the crater which is still active.

Sumbing have Dipterokarp forest hill, forest Dipterokarp Top, Montane forest, and forest Ericaceous or mountain forest. Most of the stern area of this mountain has been used for farmland.
